Overview of Pakistan Tourism
As per original indigenous definition, Pakistan is a beautiful country with plethora of attractions, flora and fauna and an international beach and hotel. The thriving beauty of Pakistan amidst many cities creates a beautiful tourism in the country. After centuries of rapid growth and the happening environment a wide range of tourism options has been available.
Pakistan tourism is a very young sector of all sorts. When this paper is published the landscape may change in a negative direction and there would be around 40 per cent decline in tourism. Pakistan’s true tourism potential is yet untapped because of the not so up to date tourism infrastructure (Harsh,2011). Due to the recent terrorism incidents and social unrest, there have been almost no tourists visiting these sanicipally. After a lot of focus to take care of tourism the policy and legislation are in progress to address this issue (PHA, 2015).
3.5.3 definition of events
One of the most common types of events in Pakistan is the weddings and festivals that are usually held in towns and other areas of the country as per tradition. Pakistan cities have another famous tradition called the historical local festivals which are currently being carried out by government agencies (Kothari,2011). Pakistan is a country that has a large culture, festivals and the beautiful cultural products. The cultural product has a lot of opportunities for both local and foreign tourists to enjoy. Pakistans cultural products keep its international brand as a pleasure from inside.
Pakistan mostly holds cultural events in the traditional shopping areas of the cities especially Lahore (PATA, 2016). These festivals are helpful to the common man. They provide an opportunity to local people to enjoy the best of their cultural products and get them out of lockdowns and lack of funds.
4.6.9 description of categories of tourism
One of the most consistent ways of sustainable tourism is visitor experience. To attract tourists to Pakistan is easy when you focus on every region (Sabbagh, 2011). Pakistan tourist destinations are mostly semi-autonomous. Tourists can enjoy local culture while enjoying cultural products. Pakistan guides tourists to various local attractions and introduces to them the history of a place. Pakistan tourist attractions are more for locals than tourists. However, there are numerous tourism features which will be available to tourists from around the world which are beyond the world’s expectations. Example, modern hotels.
Just to make the tourists more comfortable, the authorities in all the localities have worked to make them easy to locate (PATA, 2015). The culture of the tourist destinations such as Lahore also attracts the tourists. They love the culture that gives beauty to the country and attracting them to come to the town and get experience. These are such examples of sustainable tourism.
7.9.7 definition of tourism
Tourism provides positive impacts to the tourism industry by maximising the benefits to different stakeholders. This makes it indispensable for ensuring sustainable development (T-FF, 2016). Tourism as a high impact industry is a key factor of a city’s economic health and achievement of its sustainable economic goals. These are the key financial, social and environmental benefits of tourism in an existing city (T-FF, 2016). Creating positive impact on both people and the environment is an utmost need of a tourism industry. For doing the same the project does not consume, or should be very slow, the capacity of local areas (T-FF, 2016). This means that there are no problems or spaces for (both existing and future) tourism users.
Tourism experiences need to be taken into consideration (PATA,2016). Tourism sectors support the health and well-being of its inhabitants by developing and maintaining the country’s infrastructure (PATA,2016). This implies that besides an aim to “improve a city’s economic situation, or improve the existing infrastructure, the goal of a tourism sector is to change that infrastructure by improving aspects of urban life. This puts emphasis on various initiatives of the travel and tourism sector in areas that pose unique risk to public health (Sabbagh,2011).
8.9.1 definition of recreation
The recreation of a place is an aspect of responsible tourism (Whittaker, 2008). Sport is the most popular recreational activity. Sports are known for the high impact industry, which results in reduction of air and noise pollution, consumption of water and soil, carbon dioxide emissions and also increases productivity (AJT, 2012). The highest impact by any industry is be able to minimize these indirect factors.
